Our leadership team provides support and guidance to all of our staff members working with clients both in the United States and in the Dominican Republic.

Mark Terrell – CEO     Watch video

Mark Terrell | CrosswindsMark Terrell graduated from Taylor University in 1984 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Systems.

He has served as the CEO of Crosswinds, Inc. since it was founded in 2012. Mark also serves as the CEO of Lifeline Youth & Family Services, the non-profit organization that founded Crosswinds.

Through his role as CEO at Lifeline, he has become involved with the Indiana Association of Residential Child Caring Agencies, which spends much of its time lobbying for the needs of children and families. His experience brought him to testify during two separate congressional hearings.

Mark was also a charter member of The Institute of Organizational Effectiveness, a recipient of Taylor University’s “Distinguished Alumnus for Personal Achievement” Award (2005), and featured in Business People Magazine (2008). Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children, as well as being involved in their church and coaching high school sports.


 

Kevin Hedrick – Chief Operating Officer Watch video

Kevin Hedrick | CrosswindsKevin Hedrick serves as our COO. His role provides administrative support with finances, staffing, programming, and strategic planning to the Crosswinds team. Kevin has been a staff member of Lifeline Youth & Family Services since September 2003, and began in his current role with Crosswinds shortly after its founding.

He holds a degree in Education from Ball State University. Kevin loves being able to serve the families and youth of Crosswinds before their struggles reach the point where the court system becomes involved.

In his spare time, if you can’t find Kevin spending time with his wife and three children or coaching his sons’ youth sports teams, you can probably find him golfing, fishing or playing basketball.


David Parker – Vice President of Crosswinds

David ParkerDavid Parker joined the Lifeline and Crosswinds leadership team in 2016 as the Director of Leadership Development. Now serving as the Vice President of Crosswinds, he provides executive support to In-Home Family Counseling, Caribbean Mountain Academy and the Missions program.

Prior to joining our organization, David spent seven years as an administrator at Whitko High School where he worked with staff and students in making significant improvements to Whitko’s academic programming and helped the school achieve back-to-back-to-back “A” ratings from the Indiana Department of Education.  David has a Master’s of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from IPFW and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts Education from Taylor University. In his free time, you can find David spending time with his wife and two children and reading as many books as he can get his hands on.


Jacqueline Downey – Vice President of Marketing Watch video

Jacquie Momper Downey joined the Lifeline and Crosswinds team in January 2015 as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to here, she was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Shindigz. Jacquie worked for Weaver Popcorn, Davis Homes and CP Morgan and Momper Insulation.  Jacquie is married and has 3 children.

When Jacquie is not working or with her family, you can find her on the tennis court where she plays numerous times a week in both mixed doubles and women’s doubles play. When not playing tennis, she can be found reading, at a sporting event or helping her father. Youngest of 6 children, Jacquie also enjoys spending time with her large extended family.

She received her undergraduate degree from Ball State University and is President of NE Indiana Alumni board and also served on Ball State’s Miller College of Business Board; her MBA degree is from Miami of Ohio. Jacquie is very excited to be a part of the team here and commented that the company has so much to offer our youths and families and is looking forward to seeing the changes that occur with them, while also knowing what a great impact it will have on her and her family.


 

Brenda Gerber Vincent – Chief Development Officer Watch video

Brenda Gerber | CrosswindsBrenda Gerber Vincent serves Crosswinds and Lifeline as the Chief Development Officer, overseeing all fundraising initiatives and business development. She joined the team as Vice President of Development in January 2014.

She spent the previous two years in Indianapolis, where she served both the Governor and the First Lady of Indiana. She served as the Deputy Finance Director for the “Mike Pence for Indiana” campaign and as the First Lady’s Chief of Staff. In 2012, Brenda was selected to serve on the Statewide GOP Platform Committee and was elected as a Delegate to the GOP State Convention. Brenda currently sits on the Board of Governors for the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series. The Lugar Series is a national leadership program that provides specialized training in preparation for service in key governmental and political positions, including fundraising. Brenda is a fourth generation Fort Wayne native.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, where she continues to serve on the Indiana University Board of Associates. Besides her children, Bailey and Brady, she considers her single greatest achievement co-founding the Carriage House—a psychosocial rehabilitation facility established to restore seriously mentally ill persons to maximum social and employment functioning.

Mike-Martin_circleMike returns to Lifeline after 5 years as Chief Financial Officer at Concordia Lutheran Schools.  Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Indiana University. Mike has served on many boards consisting of United Way, Kiwanis Club and Warsaw Community School Corporation to name a few. Mike enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with their children and grandchildren.


Todd Jacobs – Chief Financial Officer Watch video

Todd-Jacobs_circle Todd joins us from Equity Investment Group where he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Having over 25 years of experience in the investment field along with Tax and Assurance areas. He has a B.S. in Finance with Distinction in Business from Indiana University. Todd is married and has 3 sons and enjoys biking and other outdoor activities. He serves on the Fort Wayne Community Foundation, Investment Committee member for AWS Foundation and is the Treasurer and a Board of Trustee for Canterbury School.


Laura Oyer, Ph.D., HSPP – Psychologist, Clinical Director

Dr. Laura OyerDr. Laura Oyer received a Doctoral Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master’s of Arts Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Ball State University. She is a licensed psychologist in Indiana and Colorado and is endorsed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP). Dr. Oyer has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults with disordered eating and body image issues in a variety of settings. She also has experience treating clients with substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders, suicidal ideation, and self-harm behaviors. She utilizes an integrative approach, focusing on Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Experiential and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Additionally, Dr. Oyer values building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and families, as well as helping them feel empowered and find balance in their lives.


Stephanie Paradine – Business Development

Stephanie CWStephanie  has a Management degree from Purdue University. She most recently served at Concordia Lutheran High School as Director of Annual Giving and prior to that was Director of Enrollment at Concordia Lutheran School. Stephanie enjoys walking, yoga, reading, genealogy, and spending time with family. She is married to Steve, they have 3 adult children, and attend Concordia Lutheran Church.  Stephanie is excited to bring help to families in need in Adams, DeKalb, LaGrange, Stueben, and Noble counties.


Colleen Terrell – Business Development

Colleen CWColleen graduated from Taylor University with a business  administration degree and coaching endorsement in 1984. She has worked in sales, worked in the youth department for her church, coached volleyball for 10 years, and ran camps. She is currently finishing up  classes to become a Stephen Minister.  Colleen is blessed to have 4 children and 2 grandchildren, and is happiest when she and all their friends are in her home. She is passionate about family! She is thankful to work for Crosswinds where she has the opportunity to connect struggling people to the resources we offer so they can have hope. She serves Allen County.


Marlene Yost – Business Development

Marlene joined the Crosswinds team in the fall of 2016.  She currently resides in Florida where she covers the state to educate schools, churches and businesses on all of the services Crosswinds offers from online coaching to Mission Trips and our Therapeutic Boarding School, The Caribbean Mountain Academy. Marlene has served as a Worship Leader and has worked for companies as an Inside Sales Representative calling on pastors, elders and committee members from various churches. She is a mom, pastors wife and originally from North East Indiana.


 Rachel Bowers – Director of Operations

Rachel joined the Crosswinds Leadership Team in March of 2016.  Prior to this she served as a Regional Coordinator for Lifeline Youth & Family Services for 12 years.  She is appreciative of the opportunity to work for faith-based company such as Crosswinds.  Rachel received her bachelor’s degree from IPFW.

Rachel and her husband Jamie reside in Warsaw where they own an irrigation company.  In her spare time she enjoys playing tennis, beach volleyball and fishing with her son and daughter.  Rachel and Jamie also are high school youth sponsors at their church.  Rachel loves cooking for her loved ones and enjoys watching football.
