Serving families and adolescents with counseling, mission trip experiences and boarding school programs designed to help individuals succeed, families thrive and communities prosper.

In some of the most stressful and difficult of family situations, supervised visitation may be legally mandated. Crosswinds provides professional services for families and family law attorneys who need to provide supervised visitations in a safe, neutral environment. We provide services throughout the state of Indiana and at times, services are provided in partnership with our sister company, Lifeline Youth and Family Services

Crosswinds offers three levels of visitation services to meet family and legal needs:

Therapeutic Supervised Visitation (licensed therapist)
Therapeutic Supervised Visitation (master’s-level therapist)
Supervised Visitation (Crosswinds Life Coach or Lifeline Family consultant)

Please note: Crosswinds visitation services are designed to meet the needs of private family law. All visitation services are offered on a private-pay basis only. Payment is required 48 hours in advance of all scheduled visits. If payment is not received or declined, then visits are forfeited. Please contact Crosswinds for details on fees.

With therapeutic supervised visitation, a Crosswinds counselor offers limited therapeutic intervention to help ensure healthy and productive family interactions. Visits may involve parents, siblings or extended family, depending upon your needs. During these visitations, our staff keeps children and family members in our line of vision the entire time. Our staff must be able to see and hear (no whispering) all interactions. All levels of visitation include complete documentation and reporting services for full compliance with legal requirements.

Visits may take place at a Crosswinds facility, in the family’s home or in a mutually agreed-upon location, including public places. Crosswinds facilities are welcoming and comfortable for adults and children, and include spaces for family meetings. Upon request, Crosswinds also provides escorted transportation for children to visitation sessions.

Supervised visitation may be required in situations such as:

Divorce/separation
Custody disputes
Concerns about parenting skills/behaviors
Substance abuse
Concerns about physical/sexual abuse
Restraining orders

The need for supervised visitation can leave families feeling embarrassed, frustrated and hurt. At Crosswinds, our goal is to help families through this difficult time with trusted, private and professional support that fosters healing.
