Our leadership team provides support and guidance to all of our staff members working with clients both in the United States and in the Dominican Republic.

 

Mark Terrell – Chief Executive Officer

Mark Terrell graduated from Taylor University in 1984 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Systems. Mark started his career with Northwestern Mutual as a retirement and estate planning specialist. In 1994, he left his chosen career to serve as the CEO of Lifeline Youth & Family Services and has since founded two other non-profits and serves as the as the CEO of Crosswinds and Lasting Change. Each of these three organizations exists to help individuals succeed, families thrive, and communities prosper. When Mark started, Lifeline had 17 employees, a budget of $600,000 and served around 200 people a year. In 2018, it is one of Indiana’s largest and fastest growing non-profits with nearly 700 employees, a budget of $54 million, and is on track to serve 40,000 people. Mark has testified before congress on two occasions, received the distinguished Alumnus for Personal Achievement award, The Vitality Award for prevention, is the 2018 Ambassador Enterprises SEED Challenge winner, and is a Governor appointee to serve on the Allen Superior Court Judicial Nominating Commission. Mark’s favorite roles are those of husband of 34 years, father to three sons and one daughter, and grandfather to four grandchildren.



Brenda Gerber Vincent – Chief Development Officer 

Brenda Gerber Vincent

Brenda Gerber Vincent currently serves as the Chief Development Officer for Crosswinds. She is responsible for Communications, Business Development, Fundraising, and Events. Before coming to Lifeline, she served both the Vice President and the Second Lady of the United States. She was Mike Pence’s Deputy Finance Director and was Chief of Staff to Karen Pence when they served as Governor and First Lady of Indiana. Brenda was selected to serve on both the 2012 and 2016 Statewide GOP Platform Committees and has twice been elected as a Delegate to the GOP State Convention. Brenda served as a Governor appointed, Indiana Bicentennial Commissioner, and serves on numerous boards including, The Board of Governors for the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series, The Carriage House, established to help those suffering from severe mental illness, Parkview Regional Hospital Board, the First Lady’s Charitable Foundation, Greater Fort Wayne, Inc, BizPac, and the “100 Plus Women Who Care” Steering Committee.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, where she continues to serve on the Indiana University Board of Associates for the Student Foundation.



Todd Jacobs – Chief Financial Officer 

Todd joins us from Equity Investment Group where he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Having over 25 years of experience in the investment field along with Tax and Assurance areas. He has a B.S. in Finance with Distinction in Business from Indiana University. Todd is married and has 3 sons and enjoys biking and other outdoor activities. He serves on the Fort Wayne Community Foundation, Investment Committee member for AWS Foundation and is the Treasurer and a Board of Trustee for Canterbury School.


 

Mike Martin – Chief Innovation Officer

Mike MartinMike serves as Lifeline’s Chief Innovation Officer after 5 years as Chief Financial Officer at Concordia Lutheran Schools.  Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Indiana University. Mike has served on many boards consisting of United Way, Kiwanis Club, and Warsaw Community School Corporation to name a few. Mike enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with their children and grandchildren.



Kevin Hedrick – Executive Senior Vice President 

Kevin HedrickKevin Hedrick serves as our Exec. VP of Crosswinds. His role provides administrative support with finances, staffing, programming, and strategic planning to the Crosswinds team. Kevin has been a staff member of Lifeline Youth & Family Services since September 2003 and began in his current role with Crosswinds shortly after its founding. He holds a degree in Education from Ball State University. Kevin loves being able to serve the families and youth of Crosswinds before their struggles reach the point where the court system becomes involved. In his spare time, if you can’t find Kevin spending time with his wife and three children or coaching his sons’ youth sports teams, you can probably find him golfing, fishing or playing basketball.


Gregg Albacete – Vice President of Technology

Gregg AlbaceteGregg Albacete comes to Lasting Change with over 30 years of experience in innovative technology, operations, marketing, and business growth development. Most recently, Gregg has been working with small and mid-sized businesses in Indiana and Canada to help them build growth oriented technology strategies. Prior to embarking on a season of consulting, Gregg served as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Chief Information Officer at Defenders, an Indianapolis based provider of ADT Residential Home Services. Currently, Gregg serves as Vice President/Treasurer for Youth with a Mission of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He has served as a mission home-builder throughout Mexico and the Dominican Republic having personally contributed to building over 50 homes. He is a past board member of Junior Achievement of Central Indiana and Indianapolis Habitat for Humanity. Gregg also formally mentors and coaches young aspiring business leaders. Gregg and his wife Deb have five children and all share his passion for mission work and serving others.



Nancy Steigmeyer – Vice President of Human Resources

Nancy Steigmeyer

Nancy joined Lifeline and Crosswinds in 2018. She brings a diverse business background with a combination of organizational development, talent management, academics, and community leadership. Most recently, she spent much of her career in academic curriculum development, instruction at several universities, and as senior director of graduate programming at Trine University. She has developed and trained many participants in various leadership and human resource related fields. With more than 16 years in staffing, recruiting, and human resource management, Nancy has managed regional offices for employment/staffing firms, and consulted with hundreds of companies and organizations to provide solutions for their HR needs throughout the greater Fort Wayne area and Northeast Indiana. Her undergraduate degree is from Central Michigan University, and she holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Tech. With a passion for community engagement, Nancy serves on the board for the Women’s Bureau and Northeast Indiana Human Resource Association. Nancy’s mission is focused of family, faith, and health and doing what she can to help others. She resides in Fort Wayne with her husband of 15 years, Steve.


Jon Leyse – Crosswinds Chaplain

Jon LeyseJon grew up in northeast Indiana and graduated from Taylor University with a degree in Pastoral Ministries. Throughout the last 20 years, he helped launch three different church plants in and around Fort Wayne as a youth, worship, and creative arts pastor. Jon also helped launch Crash 31, a digital media company based in Fort Wayne. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Angie, and together they have four daughters. As a family, they have served overseas in India (1 year), and most recently, spent two years at Caribbean Mountain Academy in the Dominican Republic where Jon was the campus chaplain. He now serves as the Crosswinds Chaplain and loves investing in others to equip them to make a difference.
